Our
principal residence
(March
1, 2000) |
From March 1, 2000
The roof craftsman
shingled the roof. The roof material is the
single made of red cedar from Canada. It is spent
on an log house frequently in Canada. The climate
in Canada is possible that it is kept for
hundreds years. However, the temperature and
humidity are high in YAKUSHIMA. Therefore we do
not know for how many years that keeps it. This
is the sole imported timber, in our house where
is almost using a material in the island. |

The upper photograph is
the label. Our friend imported directly it.
Therefore we could purchase it fairly cheaply.
One bunch of it covers the roof of about 2.2
square yards. We purchased it 115 bunches. |
From March 30, 2000
The carpenter has returned. And it
was resumed that he attached sashes etc.
